Author Guidelines

To be published, the papers must be submitted through the IJBMKT’s web site. The following text formatting rules must be observed before the submission.

  1. The paper must be a minimum of 4000 and a maximum of 12000 words (between 15 and 25 pages). Text editor: Word for Windows (doc or docx), written in Times New Roman 12 font, using 1,5 line spacing. The page layout must be in A4 page dimensions (29,7 x 21cm); margins: superior (3 cm), left (3cm), inferior (2 cm) and right (2cm). The article should not exceed 32 pages, including, charts, tables, graphs, illustrations, notes and bibliographic references. Bold must be used to emphasize phrases, sentences or symbols. Italic must be only applied to foreign language words. Double quotation marks must be used for direct citation and respondents’ statements. Single quotation marks must be use within double quotation marks to isolate material that was, in the original source, in quotes. The title of the paper must be placed at the beginning of the text, without the authors’ identification.
  2. First page must present: the title of the paper, in Portuguese and in English, author’s complete name and academic title, current professional and/or academic experience, institution to which he/she is associated, and e-mail. If more than one author, names must be arranged according to each author’s contribution to the work. It must also be informed, among the fields of study, Topic 1 – Strategies and Innovation in Marketing and Topic 2 – Consumer Behavior , the one by which the paper must be evaluated.
  3. The abstract must be written in Portuguese and in English.  It must contain objective, method, results and major conclusions, as well as the keywords (from three to five), in both languages, for international dissemination. The abstract must be up to 250 words in length.
  4. Citations must be presented within the body of the text including the source author’s surname, publishing date and the page number (if applicable), according to APA Rules. Bibliographic references of the consulted authors must be completely and alphabetically presented at the end of the text, also according to the APA Rules.   5. Notes must be used as little as possible and should not be put in footnotes and. If they have to be used, however, they must be sequentially numbered within the body of the text and presented at the end of the paper, before the bibliographic references.
  6. Diagrams, charts and tables must present  title and source, these information must be  inserted within the text, at the appropriate place. Repeted information from the text must be avoided.
  7. The paper must be electronically submitted through the journal’s web page on the Internet, using the reference template also available on the journal’s web site.
  8. The paper must be original and it must not be under evaluation by any other journal. Papers presented in conferences, whose abstract has been published in proceedings, may be submitted to be evaluated by  this journal.
